Libraires and the Autistic Community: Talks & Showcase of Inclusivity in Academic & Public Libraries to mark the 2025 Autism Acceptance Festival
Join ATU Library and Sligo Public Libraires in the Yeats Library on Wednesday 26th March, 3pm-4.30pm for a range of short informative talks from the Academic and Public Libraries and the Disability and Learning Support Services on expanding inclusive practices in academic and public libraires to support people with Autism in our University and Community, including borrowable items from public and academic libraries, onsite and online services and supports. This event is open to students and staff and members of the public are welcome to attend. This event will also mark the launch of the Library's new 'Cubbie' developed in collaboration with the Disability and Learning Support Services in ATU.
This event follows an online national talk being delivered by ATU Library and Sligo Public Libraries online as part of the Autism Acceptance Festival 2025 organised by AsIAm - Ireland's Autism Charity in partnership with ATU, DCU, National College of Ireland, Dundalk IT, National College of Art and Design and CCT College Dublin.
