Challenging terrain – Launching and Sustaining a Professional Practice Journal, a talk by Stephen Hannon and Mairead Cluskey In-Person
In June 2022 Stephen Hannon and Mairéad Cluskey launched a Professional Practice Journal for the Outdoor Sector on the Island of Ireland. They were motivated by a desire to report on and share good practice in outdoor education. This talk describes how they navigated the obstacles involved in launching a new academic journal and gives some insight into the satisfaction and challenges encountered. It is hoped that this talk will be of interest to anyone involved in, or fascinated by the publication and dissemination of ideas regardless of subject matter.
